Every month (approximately 29 1/2 days), the Divine Mother opens 8 gateways to the Creation Process. We know these gateways as the Lunar Phases which the Divine Mother as Luna (the Moon) encompasses within Her Regency. Each gateway is open for 3-4 days, allowing us access to Her Cosmic Power (Shakti) for all that we are inspired by Her to create. Each gateway allows us to tap into a different phase in the growth cycle of the Creative Process.
The New Moon is the 1st gateway into the Creative Process. The cosmic power pouring forth enables us to be highly intuitive and awakens our passion. We experience this as Inspiration. We are moved to originate a Virgin Creation. At this time, the Sun (Divine Father) and the Moon (Divine Mother) are in Sacred Union through an astrological aspect known as conjunction. While this gateway is open, the Divine Mother plants Her seeds of new creation into the Earth, and the Divine Father pours forth His Solar Power, so that the seed can be mulched and made ready to be fruitful.
